I'm New

Welcome to Spring Green Community Church

Spring Green Community Church is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome.
We love to help people COME to know Jesus as Savior, GROW in relationship with Him, and LIVE their lives for Him.
Join us for our Sunday services!

What can I expect if I visit the worship service?

A typical service will last about 60 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is sometimes led by our worship team,  and other times we use pre-recorded video based worship songs. There is childcare and activities available for kids                  age  0 - 3rd grade.   We open with some quick announcements, prayer, a few worship songs, and then the sermon. Members of our worship band play various instruments (guitar, piano, drums). Some people clap or raise their hands, but all styles of worship are welcome. Sometimes we sing another song at the end of the service; Pastor Kendall closes with just a prayer and a blessing.  Got a few minutes? Hang around after service, we'd love to introduce ourselves.

What should I wear to a service?

Wear clothing you feel comfortable in. You'll see some people "dressed up," and others in jeans. It's not outside appearance we're most interested in at SGCC--it's what God is doing in our hearts.

How often do you take communion?

At SGCC, we take communion once a month, usually on the first Sunday of the month. Anyone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ is welcome to join us--church membership is not required.

What opportunities would my children have to learn and grow?

SGCC offers many opportunities for children to grow in their faith. On Sundays, children ages 3 - 3rd grade can attend children's church during the service. On the second Wednesday of each month (Oct.-April) we have a Family Fun event called Wacky Wednesday (WW) designed for families with kids age preschool - 5th grade.  Each WW has a theme, activities, and a short lesson.  Senior high youth meet on Sunday evenings.  Middle School youth meet on the second Sunday evening of the month. For more info, take a look at our children's and youth ministries under the tab above.

What if I'm not sure I even believe in God?

If you haven't made a decision to accept Christ, but would like to know more about it, you're a seeker. That's a good thing. That means you're asking questions about spiritual things and how they might relate to your life. You are welcome to ask those questions with us. We're a safe, non-judgmental space.

What if I come from a different faith background?

People who attend SGCC come from a wide variety of faith backgrounds: Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, etc. Together, we focus on biblical truth and teachings, and pursuing an active relationship with Jesus Christ. You don't have to be a member of a specific religious denomination to do that.
